Hi, I'm Samuel – a Year 11 student with a strong academic background and a calm, down-to-earth approach to tutoring. I offer peer support in Computer Science and Maths, especially for students who find it easier to learn from someone their own age. I've worked as a peer mentor at school, helping others understand tricky topics and build confidence when things haven't quite made sense in class. I also have personal experience supporting my sister, who is autistic and has moderate learning difficulties. That's given me a real understanding of how people think and learn in different ways, and how important it is to explain things clearly, patiently, and without pressure. In Computer Science, I use Python and C#, and can help with programming basics, algorithms, and debugging. In Maths, I support whatever's proving confusing – from algebra to problem solving – at a pace that works for you. Outside of school, I enjoy gaming, go-karting, acting, and exploring new tech. Tutors' rates are determined by their age and experience so you can choose a tutor that fits your child's needs and budget. Level 1 tutors start at £9.10 per 45 minute session, with Level 6 tutors charging more for their experience.
What subjects can my child get tutoring in?

Most things! Our tutors offer tutoring in core subjects like GCSE Maths, A Level Maths, GCSE English, Science, Languages, History and Geography, as well as art, music, coding and the 11+.

How are MyPocketSkill tutors checked?

All young people offering tasks at MyPocketSkill attend an onboarding session and complete our user verification process. Many young people are DBS checked and you can ask to see proof if you wish. In terms of quality of tutoring, you can access tutor reviews and chat to the tutor in advance of booking to determine suitability for your child. Are MyPocketSkill tutoring sessions online?

Most tutors offer online sessions as they fit easily around busy family lives and prove to be very successful. We encourage parents and carers to be present when the sessions are taking place. In person sessions are also available with tutors who are 18+.
Can my child have regular weekly tutoring sessions?

You can book sessions at a date and time that suit you and your tutor. This can be weekly or one off.
Can I book a one-off tutoring session?

Yes, you can book one-off tutoring sessions for help with exam revision, homework help or help with a particular topic.
