The FinTech Impact Report 2024 is the second annual report published by Innovate Finance, Accenture and Vested Impact assessing the impact UK FinTech has on the economy and society.
The report measures the impact UK FinTech has on the economy and society by analysing 3,560 UK FinTechs and a number of financial institutions against a framework of 5 impact categories linked to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals: Productivity, Place, People, Planet and Peace.
Under its "People" category, the report found that 39% of UK FinTechs are helping to reduce inequality by increasing financial inclusion and promoting financial education.
MyPocketSkill features as ones of those FinTechs making a positive impact to financial education for teens and young adults alongside Go Henry and Blackbullion.
MyPocketSkill is an award-winning GenZ platform for financial education. It enables 13-25 year olds to Earn, Save, Invest and Learn about money with the help of behavioural science. MyPocketSkill addresses the decline in opportunities for young people that enable them to gain financial independence and employability skills.
With its roots deeply seated in an evidence-based approach to financial education, MyPocketSkill has seen impressive growth with over 200,000 signed-up users. The multi award-winning company has been recognised in the UK FinTech Impact Report (Innovate Finance) for its positive impacts on the UK economy and society, and has also won numerous awards including the Santander X Global Challenge for Education, Employability and Entrepreneurship, and the European Institute of Technology ‘Digital Champion of Europe’.
