Hello, I’m Rosie, a 17-year-old based in the North East with a passion for academics, music, and the arts. I recently achieved eleven Grade 9s (including full marks in English Literature) and one Grade 8 in my GCSEs (Summer 2024). I also passed A-Level Mathematics with an A* in Year 10 and GCSE Mathematics in Year 5 with a Grade 9 (231/240). In the UKMT competitions, I have consistently excelled, earning a silver medal and book prize in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad (top 50 nationally) and achieving perfect scores in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge (IMC). In the Senior Maths Competitions, I qualified four times for the Senior Mathematical Kangaroo (SMK) and once for the prestigious British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1 (BMO1), where I was just one mark away from a Distinction. Beyond academics, I have a deep love for music. I began learning the piano at the age of four and passed Diploma exams with Distinction at 14. I was a member of the Sage Gateshead Young Musician Scheme and the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) Inspire Programme for several years, as well as a keyboard finalist in the NYO 2023 auditions. I am also a LAMDA Public Speaking Gold medallist (Grade 8 Distinction) and hold a Grade 6 Distinction in Acting. My achievements even led to an invitation to film for the popular ITV Channel 4 Child Genius Live show. In my free time, I enjoy drawing (I won the Gateshead Schools Drawing and Design Competition in Year 5), practicing karate (I hold a Black Belt), and staying active through jogging and gym workouts. I have also been volunteering at Parkrun for my Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. I have been tutoring since the age of 15, and my pupils have achieved remarkable success, including: Passing ABRSM Grade 7 Piano with Distinction, Qualifying for the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge Kangaroo Round (top 8,000 in the Year 7 and 8 group in the UK), And Achieving Bronze Medal in the UKMT IMO Round (top 100 in the year group). These achievements are not only a testament to my skills and dedication but also some of my greatest joys and proudest moments as a tutor.
