MyPocketSkill Skills Day 2020
Last month, we spent time preparing our Skills Video for National Skills Day on May 20th, organised by National Careers Week. It was a brilliant way to work with our team of teens and showcase their talents and what they offer on our platform. From dancing to painting to some very impressive gymnastics moves, we were so encouraged to see the enthusiasm and proactive nature that young people on our platform continue to display.
We’ve recently written about the resilience of young people during COVID-19, and this video is a great example of just that. As well as this, it draws attention to the importance of nurturing skills and interests outside of academia. Too often, excelling in academia is the only or main priority in the way young people are brought up today. It is equally as important to encourage the pursuing of interests outside of this and by doing so, it opens up realms of possibilities for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it! To be a part of the work we are doing to help families and young people during COVID-19, sign up to our platform and check out our listings.
